My problem is with Flash CS5.
I am using it for the first time and I am trying to get a flash movie up on my website.
Trying to convert it from mpeg 4 into flash I have followed all the steps correctly, I hope, until I need to export/publish the flv file into a swf file.
This is were the problem starts and the export/publish function only throws a quick 64kb file on my hard drive and that is all. I am not getting a proper flash movie I can upload to my website.
Many thanks

hi - is there a way to automate a series of pie charts in Illustrator (or InDesign) - without having to buy a plug in? I need to be able to import #'s from an Excel file or CSV to pump out 100's of pie charts (eps. or directly in InDesign). I know how to create variable data for text and images in InDesign with the "data merge" function, it would be amazing if I could do the same with pie charts!!

I can't believe all Adobe products are not 64bit. You might say that some don't need it but I use MACs which is 64bit processing so this new is bad.

The question is... When if ever are you finally going to make all your products 64bit process?

"are you stuck with limited styling?"

should really be

"are you stuck with limited skinning?"

As Catalyst doesn't support adding custom styles, just custom skins (although you could then edit the code to add custom styles afterwards).

In addition to being able to knock out skins from Illustrator & Fireworks you can create you own skins as a dev in MXML or AS.

Guys, I don't object to anyone trying to make a buck, but this site is nothing but a spambot. If I want to post questions to various sites about something, I'll do it myself ... I don't want you posting anything with my name on it, or generating spam in my Twitter account.

Right now I'm spam-tagging and blocking any twitter id that is tweeting to me, or re-tweeting me based on this post.

Thanks for your help.
I'm using the Marquee/Selection tool as I need the crop to be an exact pixel size. As far as I know the crop tool can only be set to a fixed ratio (someone may correct me on this).

This solution is useful but I think because I am going through many images, cropping the selection and then using the history pallette to undo if it doesn't look any good may be quicker.
